Nona Nita lives in Long Island, New York where she teaches English as a Second Language and Social Studies at the High School Level. A former Nursery School Teacher and Elementary Teacher, she has experience teaching children at all levels from 18 months to 18 years of age. She holds a B.A.in Elementary Education, an M.A. in Liberal Studies and an A.A.S. in Buying and Merchandising. Nita is the proud mother of two grown children and the grandparent of one beautiful little girl. Nita's philosophy of grandparenting is best expressed by an anonymous quote she read which says " The greatest gifts you can give a child are roots and wings". Toward the goal of providing roots, she has decided to have her grandchild call her "Nona" in honor of her Italian heritage. A Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, she salutes the light in us all. Nita believes in the power of manifestation and she focuses her energy on projects that educate others on their path to enlightened living with the ultimate goal of bringing more light and love into the world.
