Hi Nona Nita -- Thanks for your comment on my blog. I really like your site. Good to meet a fellow Long Islander -- I live in Port Washington. If you have time this Sat., May 9, come to the Nassau County Museum of Art for "Meet the Artist" (and me too -- I'll be there with copies of "Super Granny"). My mother was called Nonna -- no Italian heritage, just simpatico feelings, and she had one grandchild born in Italy and another one conceived there.

Thanks for stopping by my neck of the woods. Great site you have here, need to come back and read some more. And to answer your question...a lump will have you scurrying to a doctor quick.

Thought of everyone who reads this site when I got my mom a lovely little book for Mothers Day. It is called "Little Girls in Matching Dresses: Stories for Grandmothers, Mothers and Daughters." It was only about $12 on amazon (the author has a website too) and is a collection of charming stories by a former Country Living mag. columnist who rote "Kids in the Country." I lovd her column and was excited to find many of them in this little book.
